We offer a scanning and Giclée print service directly to fellow artists. We have almost 15 years of experience in this business.
A giclée is high quality fine art reproduction made by an inkjet printer, using archival pigmented inks on archival papers or canvas.
All artwork is scanned at a high resolution on our Professional Grade Flabed Scanner to produce a digital file that is used to output the giclée print. The process creates beautiful reproductions that are true to the quality and color of the original.
Although there are many companies offering canvas or paper printing options, few if any online companies offer any service beyond the printing and stretching of your already existing file. In almost every case with original artwork in particular, colour matching or balancing is impossible even from a direct scan, and even more of an issue with a photo of a piece of art where you will always have additional lighting or focus issues.
In order to achieve this, we have our scanner right through to the printer itself specifically profiled for matching output. As most people will recognize, the same image never even looks the same from one computer monitor to another. And there is a vast difference between a back-lit computer screen output and what appears on your canvas or paper which are all REFLECTIVE surfaces with varying degrees of texture and reflectability.
And even the very best computer systems all co-ordinated still are never as good as a visual match or balance done with an artists eye. We work hard to achieve just such a balance with the knowledge of which colours may in fact not be entirely reproducable from paint pigments to print pigments.
Our aim is to provide you with prints you can proudly display and sell as representative of your amazing originals. We have various media options available from beautiful archival matte prints, to cotton rag watercolour paper and flat or stretched canvas.
